  5. This README file contains information about the changes and
  6. enhancements made to WordPerfect Shared Applications 1.5 for
  7. Windows. This information is not yet documented in the WordPerfect
  8. Corporation Products Shared Applications guide.

  11. COLUMN MANAGER
  12. ====================
  13. The Column Manager control box lets you customize the layout of
  14. lists for File Manager, WP Presentations' Slide List, and other
  15. WPCorp applications that utilize a similar list format. To use the
  16. Column Manager, click the right mouse button while the mouse
  17. pointer is over a blank area of the column heading bar. This
  18. displays the Column Manager control box, from which you can choose
  19. additional column heading options.

  22. CONVERT
  23. ====================
  24. When pasting text from the Windows Clipboard, international
  25. versions of WP Presentations read the defined code page and
  26. properly display the international characters. The code page must
  27. be set in the WPC.INI file as follows with the actual code page
  28. number replacing the "CODEPAGE#" in the string:
  29.

  33.      [Convert]
  34.      WinCodepage="CODEPAGE#"

  37. of supported code page numbers.

  40. FILE MANAGER
  41. ====================

  43. When copying or moving files to a removable disk (floppy disk or
  44. removable disk cartridge) that does not contain sufficient space,
  45. the user is prompted to "insert another diskette" to continue
  46. moving or copying the selected files.
  47.  
  48. When copying or moving a complete directory with subdirectories to
  49. a removable diskette, the software automatically creates the
  50. subdirectories on the new disk. If the disk is filled before a
  51. complete subdirectory can be copied, the user is prompted to insert
  52. a new diskette, and the subdirectory structure is created on the
  53. new diskette.

  56. KEYBOARD EDITOR
  57. ====================
  58. The Keyboard Editor now allows the remapping of Alt+Ctrl and
  59. Alt+Ctrl+Shift key combinations. Remapping of all punctuation
  60. character key combinations, including Alt+punctuation is also
  61. available. To remap punctuation keys, you must check the box for
  62. "Allow reassigning of a, b, c, ... 1, 2, 3" from the Keyboard
  63. Editor.

  66. OPEN DIALOG BOX
  67. ====================
  68. On the Open dialog box, options for Create Directory and Remove
  69. Directory are now available from the Options list. When you choose
  70. one of these options, a dialog box appears which lets you confirm
  71. the creation or deletion of a directory.

  74. The Confirm Replace dialog box now supports the following options
  75. for moving or copying a file:
  76.  
  77.      "Yes" replaces the current file and highlights the next file
  78.      to move or copy.
  79.  
  80.      "Yes to All" replaces all files that do not have the read-
  81.      only, hidden, or system attribute.
  82.  
  83.      "No" skips the current file and continues with the next file
  84.      to confirm.
  85.  
  86.      "Cancel" aborts the move or copy process and redisplays the
  87.      Open dialog box.
  88.  
  89. The program automatically displays the Confirm Replace dialog box
  90. when you attempt to copy or move a file marked with the read- only,
  91. hidden, or system attribute. This occurs even when the user has
  92. selected "Yes to All."

  95. PRINTER PROGRAM
  96. ====================
  97. The Printer Program (PTR.EXE), described in the Shared Applications
  98. guide, is used to edit WordPerfect printer drivers. Because WP
  99. Presentations supports only Windows printer drivers, you cannot use
  100. the PTR.EXE program to adjust the print settings of WP
  101. Presentations.

  104. SPELLER
  105. ====================
  106. When the US or UK speller dictionaries (WP{WP}US.LEX or
  107. WP{WP}UK.LEX) are not found, and the English-Canadian speller
  108. dictionary is available, The Speller will use the WP{WP}CE.LEX
  109. dictionary to spell-check documents that contain a US or UK
  110. language code.
